David Gann, 40, of Lower Allen Township, suffered multiple traumatic injuries in the accidental crash, according to Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall.
The crash happened in the 3000 block of Cumberland Boulevard in Camp Hill on Wednesday, according to area police.
Camp Hill police were called to the multiple-vehicle accident at 12:52 p.m. on July 19, 2023.
"A vehicle crossed over the median into opposing traffic striking another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle that crossed over the median is deceased," the police said adding that "Results are currently un-founded and under an active investigation."
David, also known as Bousin Skeeter or Dutter Mane or Dutt, is being mourned by his community on social media.
Although his family deeply misses him, especially with a family reunion scheduled later this summer, other family and friends remind the public to "Keep prayers up for all involved and our families. What Allah wants to happen no one can change it. It was written. Just please know that what we do moving forward is either written for us or against us. Always PUSH (peace, unity, strength, hope) the next person to being a better version of themselves."
He is survived by his mom Cheryl; wife LaQuanda Gann; children, siblings, extended family, and countless friends, those close to him told Daily Voice.
His wife sent Daily Voice the following statement:
"Forever I have you and I know forever you have me baby boy, I just wish this was a bad dream. Dutt come back, I love you so much baby boy come back ❤️"
David's official obituary has yet to be released, but Daily Voice has spoken to his dear friend Tone Cook who has organized a balloon launch with the help of Gann's mom Cheryl.
The color for the launch is blue and will be held at Bills cafe 2312 Derry Street, Harrisburg at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 22. Attendees are encouraged to big balloons and candles.
